The City of Garland is preparing to present a Bond Program to Garland voters in 2019 to address long-term project needs that impact the community. Such projects could include streets and drainage projects, economic development and redevelopment initiatives, Parks and Recreation improvements, as well as various other facility needs in the community.
Garland residents are invited to learn more about the process of developing this program and how they might get involved in the process. The City is hosting four public meetings:
6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2 North Garland Branch Library Program Room 3845 N. Garland Ave.
2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4 Central Library North Program Room 625 Austin St.
6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9 South Garland Branch Library Program Room 4845 Broadway Blvd.
2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11 Hollabaugh Recreation Center Multipurpose Room 3925 W. Walnut St.
Each meeting will include information about how the Garland Bond Program will be developed, an overview of how such bond programs are financed and an opportunity for residents to ask questions.
